⏰ When should I apply for an ETA?
The ETA application must be made at least 3 days before your arrival. If you are arriving a long way away, we accept applications but will send you your ETA when it is available. Given the time taken by the authorities to process your application, we will be able to send you your approval approximately 3 weeks before your departure.
🛬 Do I need an ETA for transit?
If you are in transit, you will need an ETA. Travel authorisation is compulsory for all travellers arriving via a Seychelles airport or seaport.
⏱️ Is there a faster way of dealing with Seychelles ETA?
The Seychelles authorities are proposing 3 levels of treatment of the ETA procedure, more or less expensive.
The time required to process the request will depend on the option selected:
- Standard" treatment "your request is processed within 24 hours
- Premium" treatment "your request is processed within 6 hours
- Expedited treatment "your request is processed within 60 minutes
We only offer "Standard" processing, so that you have time to check your documents beforehand.

Yes, minors also need an ETA.
🏠 Is the ETA application compulsory for Seychelles residents or nationals?
Residents or nationals of Seychelles must complete a online boarding form before arriving in the Seychelles.
⏱ How long is the ETA valid for?
ETA issued willadapt to the dates of your stay that you indicate on the form. It allows you to remain a 90 days maximum but if you indicate that you want to stay for a month, the ETA issued will only authorise you to stay for a month.

All nationalities are eligible to apply for ETA, at With the exception of the Kosovars.
🚨 What should you do if you've made a mistake in your application?
If you discover an error before sending your administrative documents, please indicate the correction to be made by sending these documents.

Once ETA issued, its data cannot be modified. You will need to submit a new application if your information differs significantly.
💉 Which vaccinations are compulsory for Tanzania?
Vaccines against yellow fever and poliomyelitis are mandatory for nationals coming from a high-risk country, or for travellers who have passed through a contaminated country. Consult the list of Compulsory and recommended vaccines for Tanzania.
🛳️ Do I need to complete an ETA application for arrival by sea?
The ETA is not a required document for arrival by sea.
📋 Is it possible to extend my ETA once I'm there?
You can extend your ETA at an immigration office in the Seychelles. The fee is 5000 SCR to extend the ETA for a further 3 months.
